Petanque Challenge: Hawick Rotary v Hawick 41 Club

Hawick Rotary accepts a challenge from the members of the 41 Club at Denholm Green. This will be followed by a meal at The Auld Cross Keys in Denholm.


Hawick's Rotarians and the members of the local 41 Club played a challenge match at the Petanque pitch on Denholm Green on Thursday 4th September. The weather remained dry and ten games were played with 41 Club coming out on top by 6-4. Rotary President Mairhi Trickett presented 41 Club President Gerry monaghan with a trophy made by Tony Warburton, 41 Club member and chairman of Hawick Men's Shed.

Afterwards all participating went across to the Auld Cross Keys for a social meal.
