Following several other visits by Hawick Rotarians to local businesses, members arrived at Greendale Car Sales showroom at Galalaw on October 3rd. Owner Nick MacTaggart welcomed us and told us of how the business had developed from small beginnings beside the family farm to a stage where significant development is now taking place at the Galalaw site. He explained the workings of the business with 13 staff engaged across two locations – the showrooms and the workshop at Burnfoot. Members then went with Nick to the workshops where it was explained how the cars which had been bought in were prepared for sale and then valeted before delivery to the buyers. Many questions were asked before President Iain Smith thanked Nick for his welcome.
The company, including Nick, then went for their meal to Adam's Kitchen.
