Team leaders lay out their plans for next Rotary year, and then outgoing President hands over leadership of the Club to their successor

Hawick Rotary's Assembly & Handover took place last night. Team leaders told of their plans for the new Rotary Year which starts on 1st July: their plans for fundraising and for the local and international groups which will benefit. Rotary's Assistant Governor James Bruce, who covers the Borders from his home base in Tranent attended and spoke of the good reputation of the Hawick members, giving encouragement for the year to come.

Afterwards outgoing President Ron Smith passed on the rôle to his successor Iain Smith. Iain, from Denholm, was previously President in 2005-06 and was later Club Secretary from 2010 until 2017. He, in turn, welcomed Mairhi Trickett as his Senior Vice President and George Hogg as Junior Vice President.
