Sponsored walk: From Park to Park

Members take part in a walk from one end of the town to the other, on the new Multi User Path, in aid of Salvation Army Food Bank
On Sunday 27th October, Hawick's Rotarians took part in a 5 km. Sponsored Walk – From Park to Park – from the far end of Wilton Lodge park to Mansfield Park following the Multi User Path. The weather was wet, but the new path meant that feet remained reasonably dry, and of course there was no problem with car traffic!
Rotarians taking part were Andy, George H, George T, Keith, Linden, Ron, with Tony, and with support from Diane and Eileen, and it was great to have the company and support of Mrs Murray and the Head Pupils Team from Hawick High School – Beau, Erin, Marli and Olek. There was much praise for George Thorburn who completed the course using a walking aid – no easy task anyway but worsened by the weather!
Proceeds of the sponsorships will go to Hawick Salvation Army's Food Bank.
