Rotarians and Guests partook in a traditional three course Christmas Lunch on 5th December 2018 at the Bbar in London Victoria. The venue is part of the Carnation Group of hotels. All guests were offered a welcome glass of sparkling wine. Traditional Turkey and Christmas Pudding was on offer though guests had a choice of starters, main courses and desserts. Red and White wine was generously served.
After the main course, President Juvenal Shiundu presented the Rotary International Service Recognition Award to Past President Sanjeev Phadke – for his dedicated and conscientious services for more than a decade to the Rotary Club of Westminster West. During his Presidential Year in 2011-12, Past President Sanjeev led the fund raising for three Projects in Entebbe, Uganda.
Completion of Three Projects in Entebbe, Uganda :
1). Provision of Water Tank with Rain Water Harvesting Facilities for Water and Sanitation at the Health Centre of the SOS Children's Village in Entebbe;
2). Provision of Water Tank with Rain Water Harvesting Facilities for Water & Sanitation, and a Solar Power System to the Entebbe Hospital;
3). Provision of Water Tank with Rain Water Harvesting Facilities for Water and Sanitation at the Entebbe Welfare School for Children with Special Needs.

These projects were carried out in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Entebbe. The above is an example of tangible service provided by a dedicated Rotarian who continues to provide vital annual audit services to the Club.
