Haddington 700 - The Big Day

A day of entertainment and activites for all the family in celebration of the granting of the Royal Charter to Haddington by Robert the Bruce 700 years ago.

Haddington 700 – The Big Day

The weather was kind to us and it was great to see so many people in the town for the bug day of events to celebrate Haddington 700. The Rotary Club of Haddington, sporting jester hats, were involved on the day. Our members helped with setting up and also provided assistance to people with enquiries and needing directions to the various activities. We also acted as marshals and manned the various barriers to restrict vehicle access and ensure the safety of the crowds. Our Rotary Chequers game near the marquee in the John Muir car park area proved very popular with both children and adults. You will have also seen us taking part in the parade where we drove a vintage car.

The day was rounded off by a performance from the Red Hot Chillie Pipers

It was a very successful day and it was good to see everyone have such fun at the various activities. A big thank you to everyone who put so much work into organising the event.
