Fellowship Meeting

President Carlo exchanges club banners with visiting Rotarians Philip Kitchingman, RC Withby (left) and Dan Allen, RC Oxford Hills, Maine, USA.

It is a tradition in our club for the President to open our meetings by inviting members to sing Rotary Grace. Shortly thereafter, fellow visiting Rotarian Dan Allen kindly offered to sing an alternative to Rotary Grace, which a.o. is popular in his home club. The tune was akin to 'God save the Queen' and the lyrics are as follows:

God Bless our Rotary
God Save our Rotary
Through all the years.

May fellowship increase
May service never cease
Until the whole world has peace
Free from all fears.

Giver of all things good
We thank thee for this food
With one accord.

Lead us we humbly pray
Onward in Rotary's way
Of Service day by day
Most gracious Lord.
