President's Dinner and Handover

We had a full house at Pinner Hill Golf Club with 47 attendees including our outgoing AG Suresh Barwhaney and incoming AG Shir-Li Lim. We also welcomed the incoming presidents of RC Harrow and RC Radlett.

It was a lively evening full of surprises with DG Adrian presenting long service awards for 30 years in Rotary to Mike Goddard, Eddie Tucker and Tony Moore, and a 25 year award to Tom Cryan. He also presented an Avenues of Service award to outgoing President Cathy Kim.

It was then Cathy's turn on behalf of the club to announce a Paul Harris Fellowship award for Glyn Watkins who was introduced by a presentation from Malcolm Mitchell. The tables were then turned as Glyn paid tribute to Malcolm who was awarded an MPHF. Both were being recognised for their service to Pinner Rotary, in particular for their many years of involvement organising the community events. 

The presentations were followed by the passing of the President's chain of office from Cathy to Urvashi Patel. 

President Urvashi then introduced her team of officers and gave an uplifting speech echoing the RI Presidential theme: Create Lasting Impact.
