St George is the Patron Saint of England and is commemorated on St George’s Day, 23rd April. Pinner Rotary organise an annual festival celebrating St George, held in Pinner High Street on a Sunday in April close to St George's Day.
This year our St George's Day celebrations will be on Sunday 27th April 2025 from 12 noon to 5pm
The picturesque High Street will be closed to traffic and filled with entertainment for everyone with performers, stalls and activities.
Entertainment throughout the afternoon will include live music, a choir, morris dancing, Punch & Judy puppet show, face painting, children's rides, and many food and community stalls.
The Wheelbarrow Race at 3pm - sign up to take part now!
The highlight of the celebrations is the Wheelbarrow Race, a unique Pinner event in which teams of two take it in turns to push their partner in a wheelbarrow, drink beer and race round the streets of Pinner. This starts at Little Common (just past the Police Station) and ends at Church Farm Green (opposite the Parish Church).
