This year the sleigh received a new coat of paint and the sound and lights were improved. Unfortunately the weather didn’t improve and our first three sleigh runs were on the coldest evenings of the year with sub-zero temperatures and ice on the roads and pavements. Pinner was quite eerie and deserted, but still many people braved the cold to greet Santa, and the local residents were as generous as ever. The hard-working Elves certainly appreciated their mince pies and a glass of mulled wine at the halfway point.
We raised over £5,000 which will be shared between our President’s charities, Harrow Young Carers and Northwick Park Renal Dialysis Unit, and other Rotary supported charities.
