Kite Flying Event – Hosted by Rotary Club of Hounslow

Our Annual Kite Flying Picnic at Osterley Park was a joyful late-summer celebration, bringing together Rotary members, guests from Age UK, and the wider community.
With perfect kite-flying weather, delicious food, and even some spontaneous karaoke.

Our Annual Kite Flying Picnic was held on a beautiful late summer day at Osterley Park, with the generous support of the team on site. This stunning National Trust property also offered complimentary access to Osterley House for a number of our guests. Those unable to visit on the day were provided with vouchers to enjoy the house at a later date.

We were delighted to welcome park visitors alongside special guests from Age UK, making it a truly inclusive and community-focused celebration. A delicious selection of snacks and refreshments was served by Rotary Club of Hounslow, complemented by an impressive array of freshly prepared dishes and homemade cakes kindly provided by Mr Ehsan Chaudhry of Open Kitchen.

The weather was ideal for kite flying, and the skies were filled with colour thanks to the enthusiasm and skill of Rotarians, their families, and members of the public who joined in the fun. The day concluded on a high note with spontaneous karaoke performances from Friends of Rotary, adding even more joy and laughter to the occasion.

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who supported and attended the event and look forward to welcoming you to our next Kite Flying Picnic in 2026.
