The President of the Rotary Club of Edinburgh, Gordon Young, was delighted on Saturday evening to be able to present a cheque from the Rotary Club of Edinburgh Jubilee Charity Fund for £1000 to the Rotary Club of Esk Valley to assist the project to provide a new Early Childhood classroom for a school in Hermanus, South Africa.
This £42,000 initiative, developed in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Hermanus shows Rotary at its very best!
Seven Rotary clubs in our District contributed, plus clubs in England and Germany. Add to that District Grants, plus the involvement of a charity and you can see how when Rotarians ‘Unite For Good’…..good things happen!
