Following recent visits to central city coffee houses, Rotary Edinburgh's Coffee Club has moved to a new venue and format.
Members and friends meet informally for coffee and pastries at the #foursquarecafe in Saughton Park.
Saughton Hall was home to the Baird family, later a lunatic asylum before it's demolition in the early 1950s. The site is ingeniously marked by flag stones and a tree lined avenue. Saughton Park hosted the Scottish National Exhibition in 1908 and first opened to the public in 1910. Features today include a Physic Garden, topiary and a Glass House.
It is great to catch up with friends, hopefully in the sunshine, to see the gardens and the Bandstand restored to their former glory, and learn something of their story.
Next Meeting 7th December 2024 10:30 to 12:30. More Info HERE
