The Club inducted three new members – Linda Dixon, Gail Watson and Martin Smith – as members of the Club on Thursday. All three are senior managers with Farne Salmon and join as part of a corporate membership arrangement with Farne Salmon.
President Jim McDevitt welcomed the three and looked forward to an increase in the Clubs contacts and connections, particularly with the schools with which Farne Salmon had established good relations.

Andrew Mitchell also spoke to the Club about the work of the Community Council and his 25 year involvement, 21 as Chair. The CC have been involved in many projects in the past including the refurbishment of the Jim Clark Room, Duns Christmas Lights and Duns Common Good Fund. They are currently dealing with parking issues, improvements to paths and are looking to place a defibrillator in the town centre . Nominations are open for new members for the CC and Andrew would welcome any nominations.
