The Club's sponsored RYLA students for 2012, Marcus Outram and Elinor Dobie, attended to give accounts of their experiences and to receive their certificates.
Each year Duns Rotary Club aims to sponsor one or two local young people on the annual Rotary Youth Leadership Award [RYLA] Scheme.
This year's sponsored participants were Marcus Outram and Elinor Dobie who visited the Club to retale their challenges, exploits and achievements at the Ardnenoig Adventure Centre in Perthshire in their week-long RYLA course.
They clearly both found the time not only exciting and stimulating but also very rewarding and Members were pleased that once again this venture had been very successful.
At the conclusion of their talks they were presented with their certificates of achievement, on which they were and are heartily congratulated by the club. Our picture shows them with President Bob, who made the presntations, and Club Member Rick Amos, who organised the club's sponsorships for 2012.
