Saturday evening was a black tie ball at the National Railway Museum preceded by dinner at the hotel. Preceded for Duns Rotarians by another reception in the room of El and Mrs Presidente. Photos abound. The highlight was definitely the National Railway Museum itself, a huge venue that comfortably accommodated the confenerence delegates while at the same time offering ample opportunity for non-dancers and railway buffs - or those just wishing to give their ears a rest - to wander round looking at most parts of the exhibition, and in particular a display of Royal carriages from mid-Victorian times which was just adjacent to the dance seating area.
