Our Speaker this week (4th October) is Jim MacLelland talking on the theme of “One Big Thank You”


Jim McLelland has lived and worked in Dumfries and Galloway for 48 years. Duringf this time he has been involved in helping to organise and run a number of local events such as the Dee Dip, Crossmichael which has been ongoing for the last 39 years. The Crossmichael Triathlon which was started in 1985 and ran the bar at the Wickerman festival for 7 years and then consulted until it ended. He was also involved in setting up a local marathon that ran for a few years. During his time in the village he has always helped to bring the community together by being involved in organising and running specific events like the Christmas lunch for pensioners andChristmas party for children.

ROTARY FOUNDATION is the charitable arm of Rotary. Funds raised locally for Foundation projects can, when supported by RIBI and Global Grants from Rotary International, be increased fourfold.
