Yvonne Barber has been Centre Manager at A’ the Airts in Sanquhar since July 2017 and has worked in community-based education, training, and the arts for over 30 years. She was recently honoured with being listed as the top one hundred Women in Tourism in Scotland for 2022, top three in Dumfries and Galloway. Yvonne is a Liverpudlian who fell in love with South West Scotland and relocated to Moffat just over five years ago.
As an experienced Project Manager, who is passionate about people, and enhancing the confidence and skills of others, she is dedicated to the Centre’s success and developing opportunities for all involved. Yvonne is a daily presence within A’ The Airts and is the main fund raiser for the organisation. She also takes the youth theatre children who have two public performances a year. Yvonne loves her role at A’ the Airts and the people of Upper Nithsdale.
