Rotary International Events and Service
International service is a key aspect in the life of Dumfries Rotary Club.
Our club is committed through fundraising projects and linking with the network of Rotary clubs worldwide wherever possible, to helping vulnerable communities in the developing world.
This can be achieved in a variety of ways:
Through supporting specific projects, our club members gain awareness and insight into the diverse cultures that constitute our wider world.
Past projects our club has supported include Water Aid, Disaster Box and Aqua Box charities, the Jaipur Limb Project in India, Mercy Ships, Mission Aviation Fellowship, Vine Trust in South America, Ambulance project in the Balkans, Story Book projects in Kenya and Sri Lanka.
We will be looking to generate support for this year’s projects by involving the whole club membership, family, friends and local organisations.
