Hastings Rotarians welcomed local business man Mark Gardner at their recent Friday lunch meeting. Mark outlined his carrier path including the lucky lottery win than enabled him to transform his small Old Town glazing business to one of the biggest in the SE. He said that Croft Glass, named after the street where the business was founded, had helped keep his feet on the ground and he raised a glass to all business people as he recognised just how difficult it was to develop a business. Mark was particularly concerned by the external view of Hastings which had come as a shock to him in respect of poor access links and availability of skilled staff. As well as his continued involvement with his glazing company Mark explained that he also now helped Camelot in advising Lottery winners. Apparently when recently asked by a winning couple if the money would detrimentally affect their current happy lives, his answer was
