Art Sale of Bob Erends Watercolours
Past President Bill Brien, who was held in high esteem by our Club and known to many of our members, has kindly donated 18 framed watercolours and one limited edition print by the late Bob Erends. He has asked the Rotary Club of Hastings to sell them with proceeds going to St Michael's Hospice. The President has agreed, and it has been decided to arrange a sale by auction at The Arthur Easton Centre (in the grounds of St Michael's Hospice), 25 Upper Maze Hill, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex, TN38 0LB on Wednesday 30th November. Viewing from 5.00pm and the auction at 7.30pm. Entry free. Light refreshments will be on sale.
Bob Erends will be remembered for his fascinating demonstration evenings which raised substantial funds for the Hospice. His paintings are still sought after and if any members, or their friends, have any of his works which are stored away, this will be an excellent opportunity to add to this collection.
Publicity for this event will be included in the next Hospice Newsletter, which has a circulation of 9000.
