Hand Over with a Choir
The Rotary year came to an end last weekend and with it the Rotary Club of Hastings welcomed their new President Raymond Barrett at their traditional Hand Over meeting. The meeting was made extra special by the attendance of St Johns Mead School Choir, who were the winners of the clubs recent 1066 Choir Competition. Parents, teachers and Rotarians were treated to the Choir singing at the beginning of the Rotary meeting followed by a short address from retiring President Brion Purdey and Rotarian Choir Competition Director David Hooper during which they presented a cheque to the school in thanks for attending on this special occasion.
