It’s been quite a year for membership!

It's great to see our club go from strength to strength.

Whilst Covid has prevented us from meeting in person, it certainly has not stopped our club from flourishing. Our weekly meetings took on a whole new form as like so many, we moved into the world of cyber space. Well, I am pleased to say that those days are now over and we are finally back to normal. However, one significant change is that we have a number of new faces. During lockdown, we welcomed three new members to our club – Bola, Esther and Nicola. I’m sure that they will all bring so much to our club.

The second major development also involves membership and again it reflects a growth in our numbers.

Sadly, after over 60 years of serving the local community, our sister club of Crayford has finally been forced to close. As a club they have done so much fantastic work in the area and will be sadly missed. Thank you to all members past and present, for your tireless efforts in supporting the people of Crayford. The one positive that can be taken from this, is that we are now able to welcome Abdul, Alan, Apu, Jack and Ramesh to our club. Absolutely thrilled that you have all joined us and welcome!

Finally, the end of restrictions has given us the opportunity to say thank you properly to two members who have retired after serving the local community for over 40 years - Alan and Ron. Their commitment and contribution over those years, has been quite literally magnificent. Thank you both from the bottom of our hearts and enjoy your retirement. Well done gentlemen!
