We were proud to announce the success of Scarlett G of St. Catherine's School in achieving 3rd place in the whole of the UK in Rotary's annual Photographic Competition.
Scarlett's photograph (see below) depicted a Sunflower in which a bee was extracting nectar from the flower.
The annual Rotary Photographic Competition attracted many entries this year. Each entry is judged locally and the successful ones go on to be judged again across the whole of South East England and those selected to go further are submitted for national scrutiny. Scarlett's photograph went through all three stages to come 3rd overall. A massive achievement for which we give her our heaviest congratulations.
In the coming year we are running 4 competitions. These are Young Artist; Young Photographer, Young Writer and Youth Speaks. Watch out for more details which will be published soon.
