Before becoming a Rotarian in June 2012, RK had visited the club to give talks about Dover Athletic Football Club.
While Rotarian friends convinced him to join, he had already been considering how best to become more involved in charity work.
Since then, he has worked with Rotary to support numerous local and international charities which include:
The Kelly Turner Foundation
Martha Trust
Dover Smart Project
Local Food Banks
Shelterbox Scheme
Ukrainian Crisis Appeal
And the Dover Music festival, which he organised with the late Roger Marsden.
While Rotary’s successes in fund-raising are second to none, its real challenges lie in its legacy.
As the existing membership continues to age, he has introduced the Friends of Rotary and Fellowship Schemes to attract younger members and ensure the Club’s sustainability.
