Deal Icebreakers Boxing Day Dip 2024 - Organised jointly between Rotary Club of Deal and the Deal Pirates

Come and join us for a splash on Boxing Day - entry to the sea this year is at 13:30

The Deal Rotary Boxing Day Dip has been operarted by the Club since 2018, when we assumed responsibility for the tradition from the founding family (Margaret Edwards - PHF awarded by the Club in 2019) It originally ran as 'Deal Icebreakers'

In 2022 we had a then record 503 entrants and in 2023 that record was beaten again where 605 dippers entered the sea for the annual 'Dip' - the event raised approx £6000 which is distributed to local good causes and groups.

The 'Dip' also facilitates many 'dippers' to raise considerable funds for their own chosen charitaries

For the past two years we have organised the 'dip' in partnership with The Rotary Club of the Three Castles of Deal (AKA "The Pirates")

The 'Pirates' ceased to be a Rotary Club early in 2024 - however, they continue as 'Deal Pirates' and are very active in helping and supporting local needs - offreing much needed practical help and assistance

We are delighted to announce that the 2024 Deal Icebreakers Boxing Day Dip is now organised together in partnership with the Deal Pirates
