Our approach to Club communications and public relations is closely linked to our approach to membership development, recruitment and retention.
The purpose of our outward facing communications is principally to raise our profile with the rural communities we serve and recruit from. Press releases will be used to record significant events. We will also utilise our website and Facebook page to provide an internet presence and point of contact.
We believe, however that the most effective publicity and recruitment tool is a personal approach - for Club members to take every opportunity to tell people about the work we do, the difference we can make to our communities, locally and around the world, and how much satisfaction, fun and fellowship we get from being Rotarians
Whenever we're involved in events, whether run by the Club, helping others to raise funds, or one of the range of community activities we contribute to, we will provide information - oral and written and fly the flag for Rotary.
The following text is from our Club information leaflet.
