Beatles Day - White Rock Theatre

Sun, Apr 12th 2026 at 12:00 pm - 10:00 pm

This Hastings event has been running for 26 years and is one of the biggest days in the town calendar. Bexhill Rotary Club are proud to be able to support this event.

Beatles Day attracts over a thousand visitors to watch
over 90 acts performing on four separate stages.

President Elect Sue Day is a long term member of the organising committee for the annual Hastings Beatles Day at the White Rock Theatre. This unique event has been running since 2000 and is designated as a fundraising show for The Sara Lee Trust.

This special occasion gives performance space to a huge range of performers from those just starting out in their musical career to veterans with many years of experience. The atmosphere is magical with four stages all performing at the same time and musicians mingling with the audience throughout the venue.

The Sara Lee Trust staff and volunteers manning desks to sell raffle tickets, take donations and sell merchandise including tea shirts and hoodies, together with a strong number or Rotarians,  Lions and Beatles Day volunteers to help make the show run smoothly. The White Rock Staff making the whole event possible with their support and management of the bars and ticket offices and logistics.

Beatles Day is a whole community event, giving a platform for those who have never performed as well as experienced musicians. Sue commented "I just love the way this event makes live music happen in such an inclusive way, everyone is here just because the Beatles gave us such a legacy of brilliant songs that continue to inspire and delight all ages".

Sue continues "This year we have sold 1040 tickets, a record for this event, but we have been doing a lot of advertising far and wide to reach new audiences. The fact that we had perfect weather gave us the boost we needed to see such success"

President David Dixson, who was also helping at Beatles Day said "I'm proud of how our Club has helped Sue and the organising committee help make this such a great event."

PS It is interesting to note that the Long-lost Paul McCartney Hofner bass guitar had been hiding in a loft in Hastings for the last 40 years, longer than the history of Hastings Beatles Day.
