Last Friday on End Polio Day 26 ‘brave volunteers’ including DG Penny and our DGE Graham assembled at 11am at the O2 Dome for a safety briefing and kitting up with harnesses with only a mobile phone hidden in a zip pocket allowed up.

The weather was glorious if with a very fresh wind. The steeper sections were a challenge for some with welcome pauses. Views at the top were spectacular only to be faced with the tricky climb down the other side.

By the time of the Saturday District Conference in Eastbourne the money generously donated to the 26 including gift aid was over £9k and the Gates Foundation multiplier taking that to around £29k. A fabulous total.

You can still make contributions at the Just Giving Page  https://bit.ly/4mD6T7L Scroll down the list of participants to find Graham Forster's name so that your contribution is put against his target to raise £500. With the Gates Foundation multiplier a £10 gift plus Gift Aid can be worth £37.50 to the End Polio campaign.
