This year we had a two main fun activities at our stand at the annual car show at Polgrove. Firstly we had our bean bag game, which was popular with kids of all ages and the Treasure Hunt with a Prize Draw.
It was suprising how receptive families were to take part in the Bean Bag game and the ranges of skills on show. I remember one under-five years left-handed girl managing to throw all three bags into the hole. Very impressive.
Hugh brought his HumVee(military Hummer) along to add extra opportunities to promote Rotary, we put the A board up in front. We used this a s a target location for the Treasure Hunt competitors to collect Prize Draw tickets. The Treasure hunt invited entrants to tick off 26 vehicles A-Z around the show. A for Austin, B for Bentley etc.
The winning tickes was drawn after the show closed and the winner was Georgia from Pebsham. She and her father came round to collect the prize of two Airfix model car kits. She was a very happy young ladty.
Many thanks to everyone who came along to help with logistics and man the stall throughout the show. It was a long hot day but the show was really well attended and we managed to see plenty of people and talk abut Rotary.
