This year's Bexhiil Day was widely supported by a huge range of voluntary and health organisations helping to both promote their own services and the image of Bexhill as a caring community.
This year our stand focussed on the young at heart haveing two "bean bag" games with lollypop prizes. The weather, though overcase, was no hinderence to the running of the day and with a full team of helpers we were quickly set-up before 9am.
We would describe the day as fairly steady, with a broad range of people out to see what was happening. There really was a diverse range of activities to eanjoy including head massages, Groove dancing, bike reprairs, tomboloas, the fire engine, tennis, bowls in fact it was a very relaxed and informal day for fun.
Our stand with the games and prizes fitted right in and we had a great renge of visitors of all ages ther to enjoy the fun. It was also a good time for networking with the local council, our MP, Lions and a broad range of friends and well wishers.
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the tripple flypast by the Lancaster Bomber at around 2:30 towards the end of the day. Truely spectacular and thrilling display with a low speed and low altitude show.
We put on a very good display of our club and its connections with the community we serve. Well done everyone who came along and made it all happen.
