An inter club competition, Bexhill Rotary Club team wins

JENNA & CO SKITTLE THE OPPOSITION

A few days ago Bexhill Rotarian Jenna Ward ventured over to Eastbourne with five other skittle crazy Bexhill Rotarians to take part in Eastbourne Rotary’s Skittle Championship ... and won!

It wasn’t all plain sailing, however, as after round one of the competition the Bexhill skittlers were lying in 7 th place having scored a mere 118 points.

But this was just the beginning as the team were, as they put it, ‘just warming up’ and obviously giving the opposition a false sense of security.

Because in the second and final round Man of the Match ‘Skittles’ Mike Clark played an absolute blinder to set the Bexhill team well on its way to finish off with a resounding 154 points which took them straight to the top of the leader board to take the winner’s trophy for the evening.

The winning Bexhill team is pictured with the trophy looking well pleased with themselves. They are (L to R) Mike ‘Skittles’ Clark, Cara Grant, Tim Pilbeam, Jenna Ward (with trophy), Dave Tollett and John Cooper.

Bexhill Rotary’s Team Leader Jenna Ward sums up the successful evening saying, “We enjoyed an outdoor evening of games and light refreshments, including some fantastic homemade cakes by volunteers supporting the event.” Jenna adds, “A big thank you to our wonderful hosts and fantastic volunteers at Eastbourne Rotary Club who delivered a well organised and fun evening. We will DEFINITELY be back next year!”
