The annual Christmas Party of Bexhill Rotary Club was very special this year as a Paul Harris Fellowship was presented to Rotarian John Coles during the festivities. John has been a member of the club for nearly 20 years and over that time has chaired most of the committees as well as serving as Club President, He has also organized our weekly collections for the local Foodbank for the last two years but to most people his major claim to fame is his renowned stand-up routine of comedic impersonations and jokes at the Senior Citizen’s Tea Party each year and of appearing in various local Rotary shows over the years – most notably as Captain Mainwaring.
President James Slinn paid a warm tribute to John and thanked him for his ongoing and many contributions to the club.
