1066 Specials presentation to Roger Batey
The 1066 Specials are a very special football club founded in 2003 by the then president of Bexhill-on-Sea Rotary Club, Harold Lawrence. The club members are all disabled in some way but regularly meet to enjoy a game of football and have, over the years, won national accolades.
The club is a charity and therefore presided over by a board of Trustees. For the last 8 years the chairman of the board has been Rotarian Roger Batey and, at our Assembly Meeting, the current chairman of the club, Paul Anderson, supported by founder, Harold Lawrence, and training officer, Duncan Nolan, presented Roger with a medal to commemorate and thank him for his enthusiastic and energetic contribution over the years.
