Business Meeting Report

It was a busy night at our Business Meeting on Tuesday this week, 6^th September.

Firstly, Dave Tollett introduced our guest speaker, Anne Rathbone, who is a social researcher and has worked with the Police, Local Authorities and various organisations. Her talk under the heading ‘Work With, and Not To (That’s What Gets Results)’ suggested different approaches to community service by seeking to fully understand what people and groups actually want by listening and hearing.

This was followed by two inductions, the first one being Phil Johnson who runs his own I.T. consultancy, he was introduced to the club by John Cooper. After that it was the turn of Raouf Oderuth to introduce Jenna Ward, a senior Practitioner Social Worker. We welcome both as new members to our club.
