Bexhill Rotary Club Beach Clean!

The day dawned clear and bright for the Bexhill Rotary Club Beach Clean and Rotarians met at Cooden under the watchful eye of Rotarian Mike Barton and set off in three socially distanced groups to scour the beach for rubbish including discarded picnic debris, empty food packaging and lost fishing gear.

Nick and Peter from Bexhill Environmental Group gave us initial instruction and provided us with collection gear. We set off in three groups covering various areas of the seafront. Numerous bags of rubbish plus several larger items were recovered over the morning which provided a useful community service as well as providing an opportunity to meet up, albeit at a safe distance.
