28th ROTARY CLUB CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT
Bexhill Rotary Club recently held its 28th Charity Golf Day at Cooden Beach GC and raised nearly £8000 enabling substantial donations to be made to MENCAP, the club president's nominated charity for the year, and 1066 Pink Ladies, the local breast cancer support group. There will be also be funds available to help other worthy causes supported by Bexhill Rotary.
23 teams took part with a total of 92 golfers on the course .
A team entered by Redman Howard were victors on the day and collected their prizes from organiser Rotarian Ian Edwards at the evening dinner. Entertainment was provided by local favourite Adger Brown who also acted as bingo caller and auctioneer during the proceedings.
Sponsorship organiser Rotarian James Slinn awarded the individual hole prizes and thanked all the teams and sponsors who had supported the event - many of whom had been regular participants over the years.
