On the evening of 22nd June, President Raouf and Vivian, Eileen and myself visited Bexhill Academy to see their Annual Exhibition to showcase the GCSE Artwork of students from Year 10 and 11. We did not know what to expect but the standard of the work displayed was amazing. We were there to present an award from Bexhill Rotary Club for The Outstanding Artist. There was a trophy and a £50 voucher for the winner. The staff at the school had chosen the winner who was Robyn Goldup who is just 16. It seems that art runs in the family and her grandfather is a good artist. Robyn is going on to Eastbourne College to further her artistic flair and hopes to then continue on to University again to study art. From the quality of her work her future looks bright! She also said that she would be willing to come to talk to the club about her art work and her hopes for the future.
