CHARLES MILNE TALKS ABOUT SHOTGUNS
Local shotgun specialist and sports psychologist Charles Milne recently entertained members of Bexhill Rotary Club with an interesting, informative talk about the history, development and use of guns, particularly shotguns. He shoots competitively at county level and it was on the sporting aspect of guns rather than their military use that he concentrated.
He told the Rotarians that in the Victorian era it was quite common for the public to be armed with such devices as belt pistols and walking stick guns to be used to defend themselves against muggers and other street criminals.
Shotguns have been used in competitive sport for centuries
