Graham Forster becomes District Governor

Graham Forster takes on District Responsibilities

Rotarians from south east of England met in Maidstone on Saturday 27th June to induct Bexhill Rotarian Graham Forster as District Governor for area 1120 (Kent, East Sussex and Gibraltar). Graham moved into the area to work locally as a senior school teacher after a successful management career in industry. He has been a member of the Rotary Club of Bexhill for 17 years and during that time has been active in all aspects of the club’s activities.

He has been Club President locally and an Assistant District Governor of Rotary and his efforts have been rewarded, in the past, with a Paul Harris Fellowship (one of the highest Rotary Awards). In addition he was awarded a Mayor’s Civic Award in 2021 for his work locally during the Covid outbreak.

The theme for his year is to ‘Create a Lasting Impact’ and in his inaugural speech Graham promises to see every challenge as an opportunity during his tenure. One of his first duties as District Governor was to welcome Andy Cruttenden of Senlac St Leonards Rotary Club as Assistant District Governor to help with local clubs from Eastbourne to Rye.

Rotary Clubs are always busy with a wide range of community projects as well as fund raising but are also a fantastic way to meet new friends whist participating in our projects and regular social events.
