The British Legion Poppy Appeal in Beckenham & Bromely

The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal 2024

This is the 22nd year that Rotary Club of Beckenham has organised the Poppy Appeal in the borough on behalf of the Royal British Legion.

The club committee formed to organise this, sets up collections in schools, churches, local shops and supermarkets.

Club members and their partners all try and support the appeal, with some collecting over many shifts during the two weeks leading up to Remembrance Sunday.

With the help of neighbouring Rotary clubs and a total of 450 volunteers, the collection was spread wider and the total collected reached the amazing figure of £97,000.

A wonderful contribution by the public in Beckenham and Bromley towards the welfare of service veterans and their families.

We thank all the volunteers who made this happen, including Rotarians from Langley Park,  Bromley, Chislehurst and of course Beckenham.
