Penge Community Pre-School - Mar 2023

Club members build a childrens playhouse

Penge Community Pre-School

The construction team of volunteers from Rotary Beckenham have been at it again!

Previously we have built a potting shed for Mind in Beckenham and a Playhouse for the Petts Wood Playgroup.

On this occasion we have put together another Playhouse (we must be getting good at this now) - this time for the Penge Community Pre-School at Anerley Methodist Church.

Although it looks sunny in the pictures, we started in rain and had to do some preliminary construction in the church hall. As you will see the kids and staff love their new house and will make good use of it now that the weather is improving.

We finished off the whole job with a coat of blue paint, with smart white paint edging.

This is a good example of Rotary in action in the Community making a difference to the lives of others.

As we say in Rotary - "Service Above Self" - and having fun at the same time.
