South Hill Wood


Since inception in 2009, Rotary Beckenham members have worked with the Friends of South Hill Wood on two projects.  

Both projects are described in detail with pictures on separate webpages:  

The Rotary Friendship Tree, in 2013, and

        The Rotary Friendship Hedge, in 2017.

Members have also served on the committee of the Friends of South Hill Wood and Kingswood Glen ... and, 

Organised and attended monthly workdays to remove litter and invasive species.

Removed brambles from bluebell areas and restored the herbaceous border and planted daffodils

Organized various projects, provided and planted the Rotary Friendship Tree and Hedge 

Undertaken a major project to protect and inform the historic fountain

Several Green Flags have been awarded, based on national criteria they signify a high standard.
