Delegates from clubs across the district returned to the University of Kent in Canterbury and enjoyed an interesting and entertaining conference weekend.
The main speakers were stimulating ... details and pictures are featured below.
The keynote speaker on Friday afternoon was Admiral of the Fleet, the Lord Boyce, Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports.
On Friday evening the Railway Swing Band entertained with a rousing concert.
Saturday morning started with a superb presentation from the Royal Navy Team.
Later on Saturday morning, Steve Wood entertained with Rotary Radio stories.
Then later again on Saturday, Lisa Hunter explained how she had formed Rotary Maidenead Bridge, attracting a younger age group to a very different club.
Sunday morning started with an exhilerating talk by Major Ian Payne, who as a former Mayor of Bromley is well known to members.
The final speaker on Sunday was Dr. Gervais Phinn, who gave an entertaining account from his career as a School Inspector.
The accomodation in student rooms in Tyler Court was comfortable, modern and well equiped, much closer than Turing Court last year ... and stlll far better than some seaside hotels.
The fair weather for the weekend was appreciated, both for exploring the campus and the old town of Canterbury and giving the opportunity for plenty of exercise.
