It's Beging To Look A Lot Like Christmas... 

Chistmas time is alway a specail time at Castle Douglas Rotary Club, we have lots on including our Santa Sleigh Town Run, Christmas, Elf Bank Collection, Rotay Chistmas Dinner and helping our Forward Rotary Group with the town's Christmas light switch-on event.

This year's Santa sliegh stops

Some pics from our tour around town with Santa. A big thank you to all our helpers from the drivers to our collection bucket carriers and to everyone who braved the cold to come out to see Santa at his many stops. There was over £500 raised over the 3 nights. This money will allow us to continue supporting local projects and causes. 

President Derek welcomed Rotarians, friends of Rotary & John Cooper MP to the annual Christmas dinner at the Market Inn. After a hearty, tasty meal John Cooper MP entertained guests with stories from his career in journalism along with his ambitions for helping to improve the future growth and prosperity of Dumfries & Galloway. Past President James Roberson was congratulated for organising a successful and enjoyable evening. Our thanks to the Market Inn Hotel for their top-notch hospitality, the food was amazing.

Club member Cliff, who spent the Christmas period in Botswana sent us this picture after he was kindly invited out to Christmas lunch as a guest of Gaborone Rotary.
