International and Foundation

The group arranges several fund-raising projects throughout the year e.g. Knitson Open Gardens. It also organises a local response - usually a street collection - for any international disaster appeals such as the earthquake in Türkiye and Syria, being secure in the knowledge that through the worldwide network of Rotarians the monies raised will reach the population in need.

Rotary Foundation leads on several ongoing international projects, sometimes in partnership with other international organisations e.g. the eradication of polio campaign in parnership with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Other projects include ShelterBox, Aquabox, Mercy Ships and Médécins Sans Frontières.
