The Swanage Middle School Awards - July 2007
The Swanage Middle School Awards Evening was held on Tuesday 10th July at the School from 7 pm. Sponsored by the Swanage and Purbeck Rotary Club.
The night consisted of a Music competition with nine of the pupils taking part Following by a prize giving with Awards for:
The Writers Cup (Humanities)
The English writing award (Poetry)
The Science Award
The Sporting Excellence Awards (Boy and Girl0
The Art Award
The Music Award
And The Community Service Award
Outstanding on the night was Lois Baker who took first place in four of the Awards. 1st in music played on the Violin, first in the English Writing Award with Poem describing the stages of life, First for Art with a detailed water colour of a Hermit crab and first for the Science Award which involved analysing the effectiveness of various cleaning products on removing common stains.
