On a beautiful evening on Wednesday 1st July, an audience of over 80 people gathered at The Swanage School for Swanage & Purbeck Rotary's Celebration evening. Many of those present were from the good causes that Rotary has supported over the last Rotary year. We were also delighted to welcome Swanage Town Mayor Chris Tomes and Deputy Mayor Sarah Vile (also a member of Swanage & Purbeck Rotary) to our event.

The evening started with the formal introduction of our new Club President Linda Winter, following which there a review of the club's youth activities. This included the welcome return of the Clem Dennis award, named after a Past President of our club who championed the positive impact of the youth of our area.

After a break for the superb buffet that had been prepared by our amazing catering team, we had the pleasure of presenting the prestigious Paul Harris Fellowship (PHF) awards. The PHF is Rotary's highest honour and several were presented to a number of deserving members of our community by Rotarian Maggie Hardy.

The evening concluded with the opportunity to chat and exchange stories in a relaxed atmosphere.
