Shanklin Rotary Club welcomed fund raiser Anne Taylor to their recent meeting and presented her with a cheque for £4,000 to help her acheive a target of £30,000 to purchase a portable Ultrasound machine for the Chemotherapy Unit at St Mary's Hospital. The Ultrasound machine will avoid children and their families having to travel to the mainland for treatment. In the short time that Anne has been fund raising, the price of the Ultrasound machine has actually fallen, so she hopes that a blood testing machine can also be provided.
