David Langdons PHF

President Ron Gould presents David Langdon with his PHF.

Davids citation read as follows:

David has been a member of the Ryde Rotary Club for eighteen years, joining in 1996. Throughout this period he has fully supported the Club and all that the Rotary movement stands for.

During his time in the Club, David has served on Council in a number of different capacities and in particular during 2003/2004 when his leadership skills provided positive direction and a true cohesiveness in a very sucessful Presidential year.

David has been called upon many times to use his professional background to help in different Club projects. One of the most notable being the re-design of the old fire station to provide a new headquarters for the Sea Cadets of Ryde. He has also made items and used his business premises to store equipment for the different fund raising projects the Club have been involved in. He has also been unstinting in providing tables and chairs from the church tha he attends to help support Club events.

Further to the unselfish way David gives his time, he has also given his own financial support to providing extra accomodation at the Mountbatten Hospice.

David has been truly committed to Rotary principles and practices and this is reflected in the support that he has recieved from his Ryde Rotary colleagues in putting his name forward for this Paul Harris award, it is extreemly well deserved.
